Biblical Archaeologist Bob Cornuke Headlines Sukkot: 2009 in
Laguna Woods, California

Biblical Archaeologist Bob Cornuke is a real-life Indiana Jones. He has entered dangerous countries under the cover of night and explored territories forbidden to westerners in his search for Mt. Sinai, the Ark of the Covenant, and the remains of Noah’s ark.

As Bob recounts his journeys, “I have searched for the real Mount Sinai in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, looked for the remains of Noah’s ark in Turkey and researched ancient Assyrian and Babylonian flood accounts in Iran. I have followed ancient accounts of the Ark of the Covenant from Israel to Egypt and across Ethiopian highlands.” He has appeared on the National Geographic Channel, CBS, NBC’s Dateline, Good Morning America, CNN, MSNBC, Fox, ABC, History Channel and Ripley’s Believe It or Not.

Sukkot 2009: The Celebration
Archaeological lectures are only part of the many fun-filled and educational activities planned for Sukkot: 2009. In addition, live music, Davidic dance instruction and performances, a dramatic presentation based on Ruth and Naomi, lectures, free drinks and free gifts are planned.

Pastor Mike Bayer, one of the organizers of the festival says, “It is time for the church to honor the Jewish people. For too long we have ignored the Jewish people, or hurt them. Instead, we need to thank them. They are our older brothers and sisters and the roots of our faith. They brought us both the Old Testament and the New Testament, and they need our love. As the prophet Zechariah promised, eventually all peoples everywhere will honor the Jews, and we will all go to Jerusalem to celebrate Sukkot. (Zechariah 8:23, 14:16) So, let’s start practicing."
